Artist News - Kiama Sophia Lisani at Radisson Collection Grand Place Brussels

We are pleased to share that in late 2025, Kiama Sophia Lisani, whose paintings are currently presented at Gallery 41, was selected as the winner of A Sky of Creativity, an art competition hosted by Radisson Collection Grand Place Brussels.

The commission invited artists to create a large-scale contemporary artwork to be installed within the hotel’s glass atrium during its renovation.

The resulting mural draws inspiration from food, colour, and form, with particular references to Belgian cuisine. Translated into an immersive, architectural scale, the work responds to the natural light of the atrium, bringing warmth, movement, and visual energy into the heart of the building. The mural is installed at a central point within the hotel, engaging visitors from multiple viewpoints and creating a dynamic and sensory experience.

This project reflects the artist’s ongoing exploration of how still life can extend beyond the canvas, moving into architectural environments and activating space in new and engaging ways.
